Description

Fragment of unused wallpaper from Nantucket, Massachusetts. Anglo-Japanese style pattern featuring stylized floral figures in boxes of varying sizes. Three primary figures: a yellow flowering plant on a blue background; a red flowering plant with drooping blooms on a dark olive background; and a four-leaf clover medallion radiating flower buds. Roller-printed in two browns, red, yellow, purple, pale blue and peach on olive ground. Marked "AWPMA. 8658, Double Roll" in selvedge.
