Advice in building houses is provided with a special focus on roof and roof materials. In the roundel of the cover illustration, several workers lay tiles on the roof of a Queen Anne-style house. In the square panel of the illustration, there are three images of the interior of a house: two men plastering a wall; a man painting the trim of a doorway ; and a furnace in the cellar.
