Description

Floral stripe wallpaper fragment from Newburyport, Massachusetts. Stripe of large flowers of differing varieties overflow from a small basket is separated by narrower stripes of alternating yellow and red flowers over a ribbon of stripes and dots. Roller-printed in two reds, two greens, pale blue, yellow, ochre and black on a mustard ground. Uppermost layer of two unseparated layers.
