Description

Five narrow strips of wallpaper from Norwell, Massachusetts. Geometric stripe pattern. A central column of small black diamonds is flanked on both sides by vine stripes in red on a pink background, vine stripes in black, then columns of diamonds and dots. Block-printed in black and red on light blue ground.

"Original wall / paper found under / door frame in / Md. Clark's living Rm." (Small collection of wallpaper from the Clark house had been mounted on cardboard and held in place with milar held by scotch tape. Notes penciled in beside wallpaper fragments.)
"Mrs. Clifford Waterhouse thinks these are 1750" (handwritten)
