Large fragment of wallpaper with attached border from Topsfield, Massachusetts. Scenery figure wallpaper with two alternating landscapes framing leafy trees. The first scene is of two men beside a river with a village and mountains in the background. The second scene is of three men, one with a rake, beside a large body of water with a mill, ships and cathedral in the background. Roller-printed in two greens, three browns, gray, orange, and blue on a rainbow ground of violet, pale yellow and blue-green. The paper's green flocked border remains attached along the upper edge of the wallpaper fragment. The border is block-printed with a green chain figure over the flocking.
