Description

Four fragments of striped wallpaper from Salem, Massachusetts. Criss-crossing vines with clover leaves stylized flowers alternate with chevron stripes. An abstract figure creates a third, narrow stripe dividing the two primary stripes. Block-printed in white on blue ground. Laid paper, partial sheets. Probably produced in Boston.
