Description

Fragment of floral wallpaper with liquid mica stripe removed from the 1850 addition to the Nye House in Sandwich, Massachusetts. Fragment is uppermost layer of three layers of wallpaper. Roller-printed in pale yellow, ochre, two grays, white, metallic gold and liquid mica on light gray ground. Paper affixed to the wall with selvedge printing visible. Pattern number 1216. Produced by Janeway & Carpender.
