Description

Three fragments of wallpaper from South Yarmouth, Massachusetts. Medallion and leaf pattern on rainbow ground. Central row or stripe of medallion figures circled by stylized flowers and scrolls. Many elements of the medallion are highlighted by diagonal striping. Medallions are flanked on both sides by leaves. Block-printed in brown and ochre on purple and blue-green rainbow ground. Laid paper, partial sheets.
