William D. Nickels (som of William Nickels the builder of this house) was born in 1800 and died in 1884 in Marianna, Florida. The painting from which this photograph was taken was by an unknown artist. It is owned by his Granddaughter, Miss Lucy Gautier Phillips of Marianna, Florida. (printed below image)
