Description

The document describes the work and activities for adults and children performed by the settlement house. Jane Addams of Hull House spoke at the Annual Meeting on March 26, 1903. Secretary Caroline M. Hewins was a pioneering children's services librarian in the Hartford Public Library where she founded the children's department in 1904. Miss Hewins lived in the settlement house for twelve years.
