Small, square pasteboard box, either box body or lid, decorated with six to seven different wallpapers. Wallpapers on exterior sides of the box are a geometric stripe roller-printed in tans on tan polished ground and a floral paper with a spray of red berries and trailing vine roller-printed in tans and orange on tan polished ground. On the top exterior is a "framed" English wallpaper with a scene of a boy and dog (see similar paper 1924.916) roller-printed in yellow, blue, red, black, greens and browns on ungrounded paper (dates 1865-75). On the base of the box interior is a gilt-figured paper with embossed and gilded grape sprig and block-printed elements in gray and white. On the interior sides of the box are a stylized sprig pattern in red and tan on polished tan ground and one to two Neoclassical medallion striped papers printed in metallic gold, black, red and green on gray grounds. Box dates to the 1880s.
