Series IX, Papers of Mary Louisa (Carr) Armstrong (1815-1895), dates, contains letters written between Captain Richard Tucker and Mollie Armstrong Tucker and her mother, Mary Louisa Armstrong, as well as letters written by Mary Louisa Armstrong to her daughter Jane Ritson Armstrong and her granddaughter, Mary Mellus (Tucker) Clayton. This series also includes some letters and wills written by members of the Carr and Waite families. Writings in this series include newspaper clippings that mention the death of Mary Louisa (Carr) Armstrong's husband Joseph, a long letter written in 1859 by daughter Mary Geraldine (Armstrong) Tucker to Ritson ancestors in England, and genealogical research by Jane Standen Tucker on the Carr and Potter families.
