Series X, Papers of Jane Ritson Armstrong (b. 1844), dates, contains a substantial collection of correspondence between Jane Armstrong to and from her mother Mary Louisa (Carr) Armstrong, her sister Mary Armstrong Tucker and brother-in-law Captain Richard H. Tucker and represent the full span of her lifetime, from student years through her musical career. This series also includes the following writings: one diary (1861), a folder of materials related to her student years at St. Joseph's Academy in Emmitsburg, Maryland, and a small collection of ephemera.
