Jane Standen Tucker was the daughter of Richard Hawley Tucker and Ruth Standen Tucker. Raised on the West Coast, Ms. Tucker moved east to Castle Tucker in Wiscasset, Maine, to care for her aunt Jane Armstrong Tucker and was the property's last steward before it became part of Historic New England in 1997.
