Leather-covered wooden box with hinged and locking lid. Box exterior is decorated with a leather handle and tacks. A crack in the leather across the left side of the lid has been stablized with small tacks. The interior is lined with a large-scale pineapple pattern wall or bandbox paper. The paper is block-printed in pink, red and white and stenciled with a green varnish. The paper is handmade, probably laid, with a pale green ground.
