Wallpaper-covered trunk with curved, hinged and locking lid. Trunk exterior is trimmed with leather strapping and tacks. It has a metal lock plate and side handles. The paper covering the trunk is printed with a pattern of repeating floral bouquets joined by festoons of ribbons and beads. The paper is in poor condition but appears to be block-printed in white on a gray ground. The paper is laid, partial sheets. The interior of the trunk is lined with an undecorated, or plain, paper. The interior paper is also laid, partial sheets. A tracing of the wallpaper pattern was found inside the trunk (See 2001.281.555.2).
