Two fragments of striped wallpaper from Newfields, New Hampshire. Pattern imitates a striped textile. Multi-color chevron stripes alternate with stripes with highly stylized floral figures and panels similar to Persian patterns. Roller-printed in light blue, red, yellow, light green and tan on navy blue ground. Pigments are loose and powdery. Pattern printed on paper lightly embossed with a small, all-over scroll pattern.
