Wallpaper fragment from Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Pattern imitating marble blocks separated by a leaf and berry vine border. Block-printed in red and green on ungrounded paper. Paper may be handmade. A strip of cotton fabric affixed between two layers of the wallpaper, presumably to smooth the appearance of a wall seam.
