Description

Fragment of medallion wallpaper from McLellan House, Gorham, Maine. Foliate medallions composed of inner pinwheel of white leaf-like figures and an outer pinwheel of green stems with leaves. Small sprigs of stylized flowers, also in green, surround each medallion. Block-printed in white and green on ungrounded, salmon-colored paper. Wove paper, partial sheets. Fragment is affixed to paperboard.
