This subseries, within the papers of Jane Armstrong (Jen or Jennie) Tucker (1866-1964), includes correspondence written by Jane A. Tucker to members of her family and some friends from her school days until late adulthood. These letters reveal the everyday life of an independent single woman in the late nineteenth and twentieth centuries and describe her work in several different occupations, her living conditions, her social life, and her relationships with family and friends.
