Description

Fragment of Anglo-Japanese floral wallpaper from West Buxton, Maine. Stylized flowers and diagonal striping formed by a patchwork of geometric patterns. Flowers are reminiscent of Persian design. Roller-printed in pale yellow, red, brown, dark olive, and black on olive ground. Newsprint affixed to back has a visible date of November 4, 1876.
