Renaissance Revival style wallpaper from the Eliab Deane House in Middleboro, Maine. Fragment affixed to paperboard. Wide stripes composed of Renaissance Revival elements including strapwork, scrolls, floral swags, hanging beads, finials and medallions. The design of the stripes takes after ferronerie (French ironwork) elements popular in some Renaissance Revival stair hall papers. Block-printed in cream, tan, brown and maroon on white polished ground.
