Watercolor rendering of a birch bark canoe back. Brown and beige, bird and elk on top, J-R in center, and deer with antlers in profile on bottom. Original work depicted is attributed to Tomah Joseph by donor but may be the work of fellow Passamaquoddy birch bark artist John Snow based on similar examples at the Abbe Museum and Maine State Museum.
