Description

Five unused samples of reproduction wallpaper in the "Chinoiserie" pattern by Waterhouse Wallhangings, Inc. Wallpaper has a large-scale pictoral pattern depicting Asian individuals in various landscape scenes. Pattern is based on eighteenth-century designs of French artist Jean Pillement.
Samples are printed in four different colorways: 2001.281.727.1 -- Gold on beige ground; 2001.281.727.2 -- Silver blue on beige damask printed ground on horizontal ribbed paper; 2001.281.727.3 -- Green on light green ground; 2001.281.727.4 -- Metallic gold on brown ground; and 2001.281.727.5 -- Metallic gold on brown ground.
