Four unused samples of reproduction wallpaper in the "General Thayer" pattern by Waterhouse Wallhangings, Inc. Wallpaper has a simple repeating pattern of small circular flowers and squares. Wallpaper is a reproduction of an American block-printed paper dating from 1780-1810. Remnants of the paper were found on the original sheathing in the General Sylavnus Thayer house in South Braintree, Massachusetts. Three colorways are present: 2001.281.744.1 -- Cream, red and dark green on a green ground (#117195); 2001.281.744.2 -- Black, cream and red on a red ground; and 2001.281.744.3 and .4 -- Metallic silver and metallic gold on a cream ground (#117447).
Pattern was also produced by Katzenbach and Warren in the 1960s.
