Hanging oil lamp. Ovoid glass globe with etched scenes of Roman soldiers on horseback. Painted iron base plate has a foliate design with a turned drop finial. Top hanging ring is fluted and upper edges flare outward. There are three twist screws to secure the metal hanging ring to the top of the glass globe. Above each screw is a metal chain which attaches to a pulley. The pulley hardware has scalloped edges and central floral medallion.
