Description

Nine unused pieces of reproduction wallpaper in the "Han Dynasty" pattern by Waterhouse Wallhangings, Inc. Wallpaper has a dense all-over medallion pattern of squares and circles. Circular motifs contain stylized tigers and phoenixes. Pattern is based on a pre-8th century Chinese brocade fabric. Five colorways are present: 2001.281.750.1 -- orange on a beige ground (#129506); 2001.281.750.2 and .3 -- white on a beige ground (#129463); 2001.281.750.4 and .5 -- metallic silver on a green ground (#129468); 2001.281.750.6 and .7 -- white and gold on a beige ground (#129193); and 2001.281.750.8 and 2001.281.750.9 -- blue on a green ground (#129446).
