Seven unused pieces of reproduction wallpaper in the "Nye Homestead" pattern by Waterhouse Wallhangings, Inc. Wallpaper has a pattern of undulating vines with leaves and berries alternating with a geometric diamond stripe. Pattern is based on an American block-printed wallpaper dating from 1790-1810. Fragments of the original paper were found under lathes and plaster of the mid-eighteenth-century Nye Homestead in Sandwich, Massachusetts. Five colorways are present: 2001.281.759.1 -- Cream on a dark blue ground (#118496); 2001.281.759.2 -- Cream on a beige ground; 2001.281.759.3 -- Light gray on a gray ground; 2001.281.759.4 and .5 -- Yellow on a glossy white ground (#118205); and 2001.281.759.6 and .7 -- Chartreuse on a light yellow ground (#118342). The paper on 2001.281.759.4-.7 has been textured to imitate a slubbed silk fabric.
