Description

Three unused pieces of reproduction wallpaper in the "Petite Pillement" pattern by Waterhouse Wallhangings, Inc. Wallpaper has a large-scale pattern of flowering tree branches with birds sitting on branches. Interspersed throughout the pattern are vignettes showing Asian scenes including pagodas, footbridges, and people in Asian dress. Pattern is based on the work of 18th-century French artist Jean Pillement. Three colorways are present: 2001.281.761.1 -- Brown on a mustard yellow ground (#149193); 2001.281.761.2 -- Blue on a light blue ground (#149254); and 2001.281.761.3 -- Crimson on a pink ground (#149466).
