Description

A black and white view of a crane as it constructs the Dutch windmill on the banks of the Cape Cod Canal. The image shows one workman directing the crane operator on where to position the next piece of the outer wall. The windmill was imported from Holland in 1896, and was moved from the Jefferson estates to its new location across the Canal. Noted actor Joe Jefferson originally imported the windmill from Holland.
