Description

Two unused samples of reproduction wallpaper in the "Lyre Bird" pattern by F. Schumacher & Company manufactured as part of their Hobe Erwin Editions line. Wallpaper has a large-scale pattern of peacock-like birds sitting on flowering tree branches. Neoclassical lyres are arranged around the branches. Background is filled with a highly stylized vine of trailing foliage and berries. Roller-printed. Two colorways are present: 2001.281.815.1 -- Pinks, greens and blue on an ivory ground (#891-1), and 2001.281.815.2 -- Greens, yellows, gold and brown on a cream ground (#891-3).
