Description

Cut samples in two colorways of the reproduction wallpaper "Ornamental Rose." Both samples affixed to individual pieces of paperboard. Wallpaper pattern designed by Binnie B. Wilson for the Waterhouse Collection produced by the Warner Company, Chicago. All-over stylized floral. Small circles are used repeatedly throughout the pattern on leaves, as flower petals, flower centers and berries. 2001.281.825.1 is roller-printed in two greens, red, pale blue and black on white ground. Printed in the selvedge is the logo of the United Wall Paper Crafters of North America (1923-1958). 2001.281.825.2 is roller-printed in mustard yellow, pale yellow, black and two browns on light gray ground. The reproduction is based on a wallpaper found in Barnstable, Massachusetts.
