Description

Partial roll of uncut wallpaper borders (2001.281.1002.1) printed with six borders (two sets of three) and partial roll of single cut border (2001.281.1002.2) in the same pattern. Each border consists of an upper band of narrow stripes in browns and metallic gold; a wide center band of stylized floral vine in purple against black; and a lower band with elements imitating architectural molding including bead and reel stripe, sold stripes and ribbed stripes. Block-printed in three purples, black, metallic gold and three browns on white ground.
