FAN (A): varnished wood sticks and guards, brise' type; carved along edges to imitate stitching; floral spray of dark red roses and brown leaves painted on one side; threaded with tan silk ribbon; one mother of pearl washer; metal ring with long, tan silk cord and tassel. BOX (B): hinged; varnished and decorated like fan; lined with blue silk; push button latch.
