Description

Rolled fragment of Neoclassical-style wallpaper printed with the "The Cupid" pattern. The Arabesque-style pattern is an airy, vertical panel printed with stylized floral and bead swags, acanthus scrolls and anthemion figures in white on a light cream ground. Small rectangular and round panels feature an eagle with trophies and winged mythological figure printed in white and green. The wallpaper edges are printed with an inner stripe of ribbon and flowers in white and a wider outer border of laurel branches and berries in green and white. Block-printed in green and white on light cream polished ground. The paper is lightly embossed with a horizontal ribbing.
