Subseries A, Papers of Abraham Anderson (1758-1844), 1801-1839 (#1.7, 2.1, C.1.1-C.1.3), contains an account book, correspondence, a debt collection petition, and promissory notes. The account book and promissory notes reflect Anderson's daily business and household transactions associated with the running of his estate. The correspondence is comprised of a single letter to Anderson's parents apprising them of his progress while at school. The petition for debt collection relates to Anderson's claim on the estate of a Thomas Smith. The subseries is arranged alphabetically by record type.
