Subseries A, Papers of Elizabeth (Kelly) Berry (dates unknown), 1738-1859, undated (#C.2.2-C.2-9), contains church records, personal correspondence, receipts, and school papers. The church records include a Bible record for the Berry family and a certificate for a family pew at the Methodist Episcopal Church in Westbrook, Maine. Receipts reflect goods and services rendered; a majority of the receipts focus on the purchase of materials for making clothes. The school papers contain fragments of grammar and mathematical class assignments and part of a penmanship copybook. The penmanship copybook also contains a listing of herb plants and medicinal remedies. The subseries is arranged alphabetically by record type, and thereunder chronologically.
