Unused roll of Scenery Figure wallpaper from Wellfleet, Massachusetts. When hung, this paper forms decorative panels divided by the printed side boarders. Each panel consists of a column of alternating vignettes framed by Renaissance Revival style cartouches and floral elements. The alternating vignettes depicts a scene of goats and a landscape with a person fishing in a lake in the foreground and boats, buildings and mountains in the background. Block-printed in white, three blues, three browns, gray, maroon, red and pink. An irisé method is used to achieve the blended blue, pink and green of the sky and water in the vignettes. The paper's ground is gray.
