Rolled fragment of gilt-figure wallpaper from the parlor of the William H. Greeley Homestead, New Gloucester, Maine. Wallpaper is first layer of two. Second layer is still affixed over this paper. See 2001.281.1111, unused fragment of same paper. Pattern of diamond-shaped figures with foliate scrolls and flowers decorating upper points and hanging bell flowers and swags of beads decorating bottom point. Figures are embossed and gilded with gold leaf. The paper is roller-printed with a small-scale dot-and-dash pattern in gray on gray ground.
