Rolled fragment of frieze or border paper from a fresco set of wallpapers. Together with matching sidewall and dado papers, this upper border would have formed panels imitating elaborate Rococo-style architectural molding. Block-printed in cream, tan and brown with green flocking and gold foil accents. Brush strokes are visible in the light blue ground.
