A handwritten note addressed to J. M. Lincoln of Wareham, Mass., from Chas. M. Thompson of Sandwich, Mass. The letter reads: "Dear Sir, I am in receipt of your letter of the 29th and beg to state in reply that we have no extra plans of the Canal. The one mention in the advertisement being the original, and has since been filed with the Register of Deeds at Barnstable. I have a single copy of the specifications, form of contract, which I should be happy to forward to you. Very truly yours, Chas. M. Thompson."
