Wooden box lid with interior covered with wallpaper. Lid has two small leather hinges, has been reinforced by two wooden slats screwed to the interior, has remnants of a fabric cover or lining under a line of tacks along one side of interior. There are characters written in black pigment on the exterior of the lid. The wallpaper lining the interior is block-printed with a floral stripe pattern in brown, green and white on gray ground.
