Description

Untitled design drawing rendered in pencil on trace. Front view is shown. Chippendale-style bombe chest-on-chest has upper cabinet with two narrow recessed sections flanking a larger center section. Top of chest has fretwork; finials at each end; and center finial between c-shaped scrolls. Upper case has muntins forming arches on the the central door and geometric motifs on the side doors. Upper case sits on a molded rim above a lower bombe chest. Bombe chest has two central drawers flanked by a door on each side. Each drawer has a keyhole escutcheon and two bail handles; side doors have rocaille carving forming a rectangle. Lower chest has a straight skirt with gadrooning and a carved center drop scroll pendant. Two hairy paw feet and two acanthus-scroll feet are shown. Handwritten in red below drawing is "4229."
