Design drawing titled "Sideboard of Mahogany & Brass" rendered in pencil on trace. Front, side and top views are shown. Classical Revival-style rectangular sideboard has two sections. Upper recessed section has tall splashboard with concave curved brackets at each side; overhanging top supported by four Doric columns. Lower section has top with molded edge; upper tier of three drawers with two round pulls each; lower tier of two cabinets separated by a void under the central drawer. Cabinets have paneled doors and are flanked by fluted columns. Branch veneer is used on splashboard, drawer fronts, door panels, and sides of lower case. Drawer pulls, column capitals and bases, and rims of door panels are brass. Sideboard rests on solid base with molded top edge. Title, dimensions, design notes, and "for C. Whitman" are handprinted in pencil. Also handwritten are "35814," "5533," and "April 4 - 1907 J.B.W."
