Description

Photo album titled: "Bureaus 18A." Title is hand printed in black on front cover; title and volume number are hand printed in black on spine. Album has a beige fabric covering and 142 dark gray pages, some of which are now partially loose. Five of the pages are blank. Album contains 142 mounted black-and-white photographs. Photographs are of a variety of bureaus and chests manufactured by A. H. Davenport Co., Irving and Casson, and their successor, Irving and Casson - A. H. Davenport Co. Some bureaus have attached mirrors; a portion of the remaining bureaus are shown with related wall mirrors. The order number and year are often shown on a display in the photographs; model numbers are also provided in some cases. Customer names are handwritten on some album pages. Named customers include: Frank E. Anderson (Houston, TX); Edward Bok (Mountain Lake, FL); Paul Clark (Brookline, MA); W. P. Draper (New York, NY); Roger Heald (Worcester, MA); Miss and Mrs. J. B. Mahoney (Chestnut Hill, MA); Mr. Prior, Hotel Brunswick (Boston, MA); Mr. Prior, Hotel Lenox (Boston, MA); and F. H. Stuart (Newton, MA).
