Description

Photo album titled: "Sideboards: Sheraton, Adam, Hepplewhite, Chippendale, Painted and Decorated 27B." Title is hand printed in black on spine. Album has a beige fabric covering and 108 dark gray pages, all of which are now loose. Seventeen of the pages are blank. Album contains 92 black-and-white photographs. Photographs are of a variety of sideboards and servers manufactured by A. H. Davenport Co., Irving and Casson, and their successor, Irving and Casson - A. H. Davenport Co. The order number and year are often shown on a display in the photographs; model numbers are also provided in some cases. Customer names are handwritten on some album pages. Named customers include: Frank E. Anderson (Houston, TX); Bethlehem Shipbuilding Corp. (Quincy, MA); D. E. Burbank (Springfield, MA); Mrs. A. E. Davis (Dover, MA); Lockwood de Forest; Employers' Liability Assurance Co. (Boston, MA); and W. H. Marland (Samford, ME).
