Series II, Records of the Boston Mill Corporation, 1803-1842, undated (#4.3-4.12, OB.5.8), contains abstracts; agreements and contracts; correspondence; deeds and deed extracts; indentures; minutes; trial documents; and other related legal papers re: the court case of John Coffin Jones versus the Boston Mill Corporation. (The Boston Mill Corporation sought to have the pond behind what is now Causeway Street in Boston, Massachusetts, filled in so as to provide for further land development. Harrison Gray Otis (1765-1848), Charles Bulfinch (1763-1844), and Uriah Cotting formed the Mill Pond Corporation and became associated with the Boston Mill Corporation). The series is arranged alphabetically by record type, and thereunder chronologically.
