Description

Photo album titled: "Screens 51." Title is hand printed in black on front cover; title and volume nuber are hand printed in black on spine. Album has a beige fabric covering and 62 dark gray pages, all of which are now loose. Two of the pages are blank. Album contains two loose and 58 mounted black-and-white photographs. Photographs are of a variety of fire screens manufactured by A. H. Davenport Co., Irving and Casson, and their successor, Irving and Casson - A. H. Davenport Co. The order number and year are often shown on a display in the photographs; model numbers are also present in some cases. Customer names are handwritten on some album pages. Named customers include: George B. Cluett (Troy, NY); Elton G. Cushman (Taunton, MA); Mrs. Harold Cutler (Boston, MA); Mrs. Phillip Dexter; H. H. Forbes (Worcester, MA); Mrs. Emilie L. Heine (Cincinnati, OH); Mrs. W. F. Sheehan; St. Luke's Convalescent Home (Roxbury, MA); Harry T. Thayer; and Mrs. Wilcock. Digital images of a selection of photographs from the album are attached to this record.
