Photo album titled: "Mantels 52D." Title and volume number are hand printed in black on spine. Album has a beige fabric covering and 108 dark gray pages, many of which are now loose. Four of the pages are blank. Album contains 105 mounted black-and-white photographs. Photographs are of a variety of fireplace mantels manufactured by A. H. Davenport Co., Irving and Casson, and their successor, Irving and Casson - A. H. Davenport Co. The order number and year are often shown on a display in the photographs. Customer names are handwritten on some album pages. Named customers include: Amherst Agriculltural College (Amherst, MA); Ernest Whitworth Marland (Ponca City, OK); W. L. Mellon (Pittsburgh, PA); Scribner's (New York, NY); and Unitarian Church (Winchester, MA). Digital images of a selection of photographs from the album are attached to this record.
