"Pumpkin" Hood

Description

Black, blue and white silk plaid; quilted with five casings, with one drawstring of dark blue ribbon at brim, and three drawstrings of light blue ribbon on inside (there is probably a fourth but it has been lost inside casing); five puffed bands lined with batting; small horseshoe shaped panel, stiffened, inserted at back with self-fabric bow; padded neck ruffle; two sets of ribbon ties at neck--one pair is blue, matching blue silk drawstring and bow at brim; the other is a red silk ribbon, wider, with narrow geometric bands; lined with pale blue (now dirty) cotton cambric.
